Donation Refund Policy
Keep Hope Alive Trust (KHAT)
(Founded in 2025 and registered under The Indian Trusts Act, 1882 — Reg. No. 2025/22/IV/377)
1. General Policy
Keep Hope Alive Trust is a non-profit charitable organization. Donations made to the Trust are generally non-refundable, as they are used immediately for charitable activities and welfare programs.
2. Eligibility for Refund
A refund may be considered only under the following circumstances:
- Duplicate transaction (donation debited more than once)
- Technical error resulting in incorrect deduction
- Unauthorized transaction (subject to verification)
No refund will be provided for:
- Change of mind after donation
- Donations already utilized for programs
- Donations made knowingly for a specific cause or campaign
3. Refund Request Process
To request a refund, the donor must email us within 7 days of the donation date with the following details:
- Donor Name
- Transaction / UTR Number
- Donation Amount
- Date of Donation
- Reason for refund request

4. Verification & Approval
All refund requests will be reviewed by the Trust’s finance team. The Trust reserves the right to approve or reject any refund request after verification.
5. Refund Timeline
If approved, the refund will be processed within 7–14 working days and credited back to the original mode of payment.
6. Tax Exemption Note
If a donation receipt (80G) has already been issued, the refund request may not be accepted. In case of an approved refund, the issued receipt will be considered null and void.
7. Offline Donations
Refunds for cash, cheque, DD, or bank transfer donations will be processed only after proper verification and may require additional documentation.
8. Policy Changes
Keep Hope Alive Trust reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be updated on our website.
